Mobile gym tracker with custom sets.
Built a full-stack mobile gym tracking app with React Native + Expo (TypeScript) supporting custom set types: dropsets, warmup sets, and failure sets.
What I did
The work
Designed a lightweight MVC REST API with Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and Sequelize; hosted on AWS EC2 with RDS for the database.
Implemented JWT authentication, bcrypt password hashing, Multer for avatar uploads, and SQLite for offline-capable local storage.
Structured file-system-based navigation with expo-router, NativeWind styling, and a typed API wrapper standardizing all backend requests.
