Purpose
One setup across two operating systems
I wanted my shell, editor, and terminal setup to follow me from Arch Linux to macOS without copying configuration files by hand. The repository keeps the configuration in one place and makes each machine repeatable.
Structure
Shared tools, separate platform choices
I split the files into common, arch, and macos directories. Common holds Neovim, Zsh, tmux, Starship, WezTerm, and Git. Arch keeps Hyprland, Waybar, and Fuzzel. The macOS side holds Ghostty, AeroSpace, and Karabiner.
GNU Stow symlinks each directory into my home folder. Installing or removing a group is a reversible command, so the repository stays the source of truth without taking ownership away from the tools themselves.
Workflow
Configuration as daily work
The Neovim setup includes language tooling, navigation, completion, formatting, and Git integration. The platform directories add window management, shortcuts, and small scripts for the routines I use every day.
The repo changes as my workflow changes. Keeping those decisions in version control lets me rebuild a machine from the same configuration and see how the setup evolved.
